About
Phil Cohen
Licensed Acupuncturist (L.Ac)
Licensed Massage Therapist (LMT)
ARCB Certified Reflexologist

Starting out as a Licensed Massage Therapist in 2002, I have always had a special focus on treating the human body as a whole unit, and I pride myself in helping each patient work with their body to facilitate healing. I have been practicing as a Licensed Acupuncturist since 2005, when I graduated from the Swedish Institute in New York City.

For the last eleven years, I have used my knowledge of acupuncture to treat a variety
of issues, including Musculoskeletal injuries, Digestive issues, Neurological disorders,
and Anxiety/Depression. I have experience treating the side effects of chemotherapy, such as nausea, vomiting, neuropathy, and fatigue. Rather than offer a ‘quick fix’ that
may not be sustainable long term, I prefer to assist my patients in the creation of new
habits, to help their bodies heal naturally, and to support their health in the future.
Phil grew up in the Virgin Islands, where tropical fish, flowers, and wildlife abound.
He has cultivated a love of science and the natural world ever since. A former high
school power lifter, Phil was inspired to learn anatomy and massage in order to better
understand his body. A bout of digestive issues while in massage school introduced
him to acupuncture, and kickstarted a lifelong preference for alternative therapies.
When not treating patients he enjoys origami, leather crafting, pewter casting, fiber arts, gaming, being outdoors, and playing with his baby son, Sam.
Phil is currently credentialed with Aetna, Cigna, 1st Choice, Kaiser Permanente,
Lifewise, Premera, and United.
He is also able to treat patients who have out of network benefits, such as Regence.
